High Rock Lake

'High Rock Lake' is the northernmost of the Uwharrie Lakes and the second largest lake in North Carolina behind Lake Norman. It begins at the confluence of the Yadkin River and the South Yadkin River. The lake's name is derived from neighboring "High Rock Mountain", the tallest mountain in the Uwharrie Mountains. The lake serves as a boundary between Davidson and Rowan counties and is a reservoir for hydroelectric power generation. High Rock Lake is currently managed and operated by Alcoa Power Generating, Inc. It is spanned by two bridges at the northern end of the lake: the I-85/US 52 bridge and the older US 29/US 70/NC 150 bridge. The NC 8 causeway crosses the Abbotts Creek tributary of the lake. Numerous communities align the lake's banks including Lexington, Southmont, Linwood, High Rock, and Spencer.

History of the Point

Coral Sands Point Recreational Village was developed on the property formerly known as Foster’s Point Campground at High Rock Lake in Lexington, NC.  Built in the 1970's, the original owner developed a traditional campground with an annual lease for Recreational Vehicles.

In 2007, Golden WEB Properties, LLC was presented with the opportunity to purchase the campground that included 38 RV sites and a commercial parcel including an old house used as an office.  After exploring many possibilities for improving the property, Golden WEB made the decision to develop a Park Cabin village in the form of land condominiums – and Coral Sands Point Recreational Village (and Coral Sands Point. LLC) was born.

Coral Sands Point, LLC is a single member limited liability corporation.  The single member is Golden WEB Properties, LLC who specializes in buying, improving, and selling real estate on and near High Rock Lake.

Planned Improvements

Coral Sands Point is being sold as deeded RV sites restricted to Park Cabins that remain on the site.  Just like any other condominium complex, each buyer owns their lot within the complex as well as an undivided interest in all the common areas.  A non-profit Property Owner’s Association (POA) manages and maintains the property over the long term.  A monthly maintenance fee is charged by the POA to cover utilities and routine maintenance of the property.  Because the property had fallen into disrepair, the following improvements are underway:
